DETAILED PROGRAM
We have a rich lineup of local multigenerational and multicultural performances that reflect the vibrancy and color of our community with roots in different cultures from across the island and across the world.
Our emcees for the day are Grammy award-winning artists Tommy Shepherd and Kali deJesus of Prospect band (our headliners for the day)—as well as Maya Lin and Bay Area Music Project alums.
Inspired by Venezuela's El Sistema model, Bay Area Music Program has spent over a decade using music to unite and uplift under-resourced communities. Founded by an original Maya Lin parent and community arts advocate, Lorrie Murray, BAMP has enriched our community with the love of art and music and has expanded their programming year-round serving hundreds of young people throughout the island and beyond.
